Entrepreneurship

This short course is designed to introduce students to entrepreneurship by developing an entrepreneurial mindset, basic business skills, and practical knowledge needed to start and manage small ventures.

Entrepreneurship

How the Course Works

Most people have an idea of what an entrepreneur is, It is someone who starts and runs a business, they take an idea and turn it in to a service or a product to make a profit. Depending on where in South Africa you are from you may have already been exposed to many types of businesses. Most people view a business as a tuckshop, fast food place, retail stores in town and maybe taxis. Unfortunately, many do not realise that there is an entire world in business out there, there are thousands of other businesses to build out there.

Our course takes all of this into account and because we do not want to teach a course that will pretend to provide value whilst simultaneously wasting your time we have decided to make the course practical meaning that you don't just get to sit down and be told what to do but will instead be put in a pathway to launch your own business. You will get to come up with your own ideas evaluate them and test them out in the market. There is more to entrepreneurship than just the businesses we always see especially in rural South Africa, with the right skills most people can break into the other types of businesses.

There is more you can do even with just your matric certificate but you need to be open to learning and being taught. This course will be useful to you regardless of what you choose to do after your gap year. It will serve you well as a way to generate an income, in your attempt to find a job and of course in building your very own business.
