About Us

About The Kitso Gap Year Program

Kitso is designed to help matric students transition confidently into tertiary education, employment, or entrepreneurship — giving them the skills, support, and direction they need to succeed.

Our Vision

A South Africa Where No Matriculant Is Left Behind

We envision a future where every young person who completes matric has access to structured support, practical skills, and real opportunities — regardless of their background, results, or circumstances. A South Africa where the gap year is not wasted time, but the foundation for a better life.

Our Mission

Equipping Young People For What Comes Next

Our mission is to equip young South Africans with practical skills, meaningful guidance, and real-world exposure that prepares them for the next stage of life — whether that is university, employment, or building their own business.

We do this through a structured, year-long program that runs from February to December, providing consistent support, accountability, and opportunity at every step.
